Dr. Francesca Micol Rossi, (PhD, Edinburgh – UK) received the doctoral degree in Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh (UK) in 2013, and she is now a Research Fellow at UNIMIB. In 2009 she worked in an Italian national project (PRIN) “The Adaptive Behaviour of Biological Systems and Scientific Method” as Junior Researcher. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as Knowledge Exchange and Impact Officer at the University of Edinburgh (UK), providing advice and support to academic staff in engaging with various stakeholders, including policy makers, practitioners, the industry and the public, in order to enhance the impact of research beyond academia. From 2016 to June 2019, she was Research Fellow at POLIMI, where she was in charge of the dissemination and communication activities of various H2020 projects, including the SafeCOP ECSEL project (2016-2019) and the RECIPE FET-HPC H2020 project (2018-2021). Currently, she is assistant project manager and communication and dissemination specialist in the Erasmus + Key Actions 3 project PROMEHS coordinated by LabPSE (UNIMIB). The overall aim of her work is to contribute to social, economic and cultural benefits for the society. Her experience includes: planning and preparing written, graphic material, and web content for different audiences, organizing interdisciplinary events of the highest academic profile, establishing partnerships with non-academic parties and bodies to exchange best practices and to communicate research, developing outreach activities and actively contributing in defining the impact of the various research projects.
